County College of Morris (CCM)

Department of Communication and College Relations

My public relations experience began at County College of Morris (CCM) in New Jersey in 2014 working as an intern in the Department of Communications and College Relations. I interviewed faculty, staff and students, wrote stories, created promotional videos, and posted to the college's social media channels.

It didn't take long for me to realize I wanted to pursue PR as a career. I loved strategic and persuasive writing, interviewing interesting people and making the college's mission shine in the local media. During the nine months in this position, I wrote approximately 20 press releases for the college website and for NJ newspapers.
